Why build connection with other users?

Building your own social network within the unified WordFrame Profile Server, provides you with powerful tools to share information and communicate.

All your user connections will be visible on each and every installation you have a profile. This will provide valuable approach for others to judge your knowledge and points of common interests.

It takes three steps to make a connection:

  1. Make a people search in the current community database
  2. Sent an invitation
  3. Once the invitation is accepted the connection is established

Searching for Other People

Option 1 Use the common search and choose from the drop-down menu that you want to search in the people database. In the search participate all the information that users have submitted in their profiles. All members that match your criteria will be presented in a list. For confidentiality reason, search people results present only First Name, Family Name, town and country. Contact info is not presented

NOTE: Banned users do not appear in the People search or People list

NOTE: Only logged users can search in the people database of the community. To not logged users "no match found" message will be presented.

Option 2 Another option is to use the people search that is available within the invitation functionality. You can find that while using the "Add connection" functionality within "My Workspace" page. This option is limited searching in the alias, user name and email.

Invitations & Status

If you use Option 1 as described above all you need to send invitation is:

  1. Click on "Invite to my connections" link
  2. Enter the digits presented in the humanity check
  3. Click "Send"

The status of all sent invitations can be review from "Sent invitations" page, by clicking the corresponding link in "My Connections" menu on "My Worksplace" page. The invitation that are still not accepted can be canceled by clicking on the "Delete" link next to them. You will be informed when your invitation is accepted by receiving a private message in your Inbox.

You can be invited to become someone's connection too. To review all received invitations, please click on the "Received Invitations" link located in "My Connections" menu. You can accept or decline the invitations by clicking on the corresponding link.

If the person you want to invite is not a current member of the Community, you can use the "Invite" link in the community navigation bar. The make that happen follow these steps:

Step 1: Click on “Invite” link located in the Community navigation bar

Step 2: Fill in the names and emails addresses for those who want to invite.

Step 3: Edit or preview the invitation text by clicking on the “Edit/Preview Invitation Text” link.

Step 4: Click “Send Invitation(s)” button

Managing Connections

All your connections can be managed from "Manage My Connections" functionality in the "My Workplace" page. You can also manage them from "Connections" menus located in "My Profile" and "My Blog" page.

Sending Private Messages

To send a private message, follow these steps:

Step 1: Search for a member vie the people search

Step 2: Click the “Send Message”

Step 4: Type a message

Step 5: Click the “Send” button

Once you send the message, the user will be notified.

You can send a massage to the users in your contact list by clicking on the "Send message" link in "Manage My connection" page.


You can manage all the received or sent messages, using the menu "My Private Messages" on "My workplace" page. Use "Inbox" link for viewing all your incoming messages and "Sent Items" for checking all these you have sent to your contacts.

The “Compose” button displayed on top right corner of the both pages, allows you easily sending a private message. To delete an item from received or sent message lists, please mark it using the check box before its name and press the delete button. The message will not be deleted immediately, it will be placed in the "Trash" page in "My Private Messages" menu. If you occasionally delete a message, that you needed, you can get it back from this page.
The checkbox, located on the top right corner of the Inbox page, allows you to activate (deactivate) receiving an email notification, when a new private message is written to you

New People - Colleagues

The WordFrame platform allows you to see who of your colleagues have joined the system, using the "New People" module in "My WorkFrame" page.

The selection criteria for your associates list is based on the following information: company/user information, e-mail address and job description.
