News Module
Each WordFrame Group has a News Module. The news listed in this module are specific for this Group/Community only. The news are in the module are ordered chronologically by date. The users can click on each news and open the actual text for the news on a separate news displaying page. Еach News piece can contain text, images, audio and video files, flash content or other data and information.
Adding news is easy - just follow these easy steps:
Step 1: Open the News Module that can be found in the left or the right hand side columns in the WordFrame Community Platform, click on the "More News" link located in the bottom of the page. The News Page will open.
Step 2: Click on the link labeled "Add News" located on the top right corner of the page. This button will open up the Create News module.
Step 3: Enter content into the desired fields available in the Create News Module.
Step 4: When the desired information is filled in, use the Save button to Save the newly created News piece.
You can also add news from the Administration menu, Using the Content Administration Tab and the News Section available there.
N.B.' The users that are associated with the Regular and Guest access levels can not create News in WordFrame Community Platform
Events Calendar Module
The Events Calendar Module in WordFrame Community displays a list with scheduled events inside a specific Group/Community. Only Active Events are displayed in this Module. Active Events are events that are concurrent with the curent date of the system or the events that are scheduled in the Future. If there are no events The Events Calendar Module will not be visible.
Each Event has a Start and an End Date
You can add new events easily using the Adminstration menu ( Content Tab, Events Section) or by clicking on the "Add Your Own" link available in the "Events Calendar" module.
Users can add their own events or post comments for each Event Calendar entry depending on how the system is set by the respective WordFrame administrators and hosts.
Custom Modules
The Custom Modules gives unique functionality to WordFrame Community Platform. Users can add and build fucntionality that is not present in the regular and standard WordFrame feature list thus enhancing WordFrame to even higher functionality levels.
There are 4 (four) types of custom modules that can be added to the WordFrame Community Platform:
- Side Custom Module;
- Center Custom Module;
- Side RSS Reader Module;
- Center RSS Reader Module.
Center or Side Column Positioned Custom Modules
The Center or Side Custom Module can contain different type of data or information - text, image, HTML, scripts, flash objects, embedded video or audio.
WordFrame Community Platform allows you to have control even further over the content available in the Custom modules - just switch the editor to an HTML mode.
Center or Side Rss Reader Module
Users can insert feeds inside a built-in RSS agregator. The feeds will be read and porperly according to the interval provided by the feed itself.
